Theatre In The Valley is struggling to rise
up from the ashes of the pandemic
and we have tentatively selected the
following plays for production starting
in the fall.
Same Time Next Year
by Bernard Slade

Accountant George and housewife Doris
meet at a Northern California inn in
February 1951. They have an affair,
then agree to meet once a year,
despite the fact both are married to
others and have six children between
them. Over the course of the next 24
years, they develop a surprisingly
deep emotional intimacy as they
discuss the births, deaths, and
marital problems each is experienc-
ing at home, while they adapt to the
changes affecting their lives. (Comedy)

Mindgame

A prominent author
of novels and "true crime" stories
enters a secluded mental institution
to interview a serial killer who has
been confined there for thirty years.
The superintendent of the institution
does not want the interview to take
place and is hostile. The tension
escalates after he restrains the writer
in a straight jacket to understand
what it means to be insane. (Thriller)

Two college friends - misfit Harry and
materialistic Milt - are reunited when
the latter stops the former from jumping
off a bridge, the play's setting. Each
discovers the other is equally miserable
as they share hard-luck stories. Milt
sees in Harry an answer to his primary
problem - his wife Ellen, who he tries
to foist on his old pal so he can run
off with his mistress. (Sometimes
